Borderlands 2 Review

To try to explain or take into scope the greatness that the original Borderlands brought when it was first released is something that could be difficult to do. Gearbox Software created an original IP that mixed RPG elements within a First Person Shooter open world that took gamers by storm. With hype of unforgettable characters, drop in drop out co-op, exotic dangerous locations and enemies, plus what seemed to be an almost endless amount of loot, Gearbox delivered a remarkable game that kept players in the world of Pandora more than 2 years after its release. But that was 2009. Four pieces of DLC (Downloadable Content), a Game of the Year version and more than a few million copies sold, it’s safe to assume the original game was a hit. So to take on the task of creating a sequel when so much as put into the original, what exactly could the developers make to possibly top the first game? Simple, it’s called Borderlands 2.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Review

It’s time to return to the world of The King of Iron Fist. More than 15 years after releasing the first Tekken game into arcades, Namco/Bandai’s latest entry into their long running franchise is out with Tekken Tag Tournament 2. And with this has probably served up what is one of the best entries into the franchise so far.

The Walking Dead: Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead Review

We all face choices in life every day, albeit some more difficult than others at times. It’s said that when we are at our lowest, that our true nature of who we really are comes out. But when the time truly comes, are truly sure that you are prepared to do what needs to be done? To quote n’ quote, “pull the trigger”? Because that is the feeling you could get after playing the latest entry of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead. After playing this entry, I feel this part of the story truly leaves a mark and sets the standard of dramatic games where other previous games of this genre could only strive to get too.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Review

It is sometimes said, “It’s always darkest, before the dawn.” If that truly is the case, then High Moon Studios has done a wonderful job portraying just how dark it can get with their latest release Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. The sequel to the successful War of Cybertron continues the original story of the battle set between the Autobots and Decepticons. I’m happy to say that High Moon Studios has successfully made a game that, for the most part, surpasses the greatness of the first game in the series.

Darksiders II Review

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts,
And I looked and behold: a pale horse.
And his name, that sat on him, was Death.
And Hell followed with him.

It’s amazing what we will do for others, especially when that person is your brother. No one can truly ever say that Death has sympathy for anyone. But when that one person is his brother, even Death will go to almost the furthest lengths to help. Vigil Games and THQ have released the follow up to the highly enjoyable and successful Darksiders with Darksiders II. With many people comparing the first entry to the likes of great series such as The Legend of Zelda and others, does this sequel stand a chance in hell of being just as enjoyable as its first part?
