The Houston Astros ended their most recent Major League Baseball season in the best way possible; by winning the 2022 World Series Championship over the Philadelphia Phillies, four games to two.
The Astros, credited as one of the best teams in the league all season and favorited to win, overcame a 0-1 start to the Fall Classic to win their second major league championship. This marks their fourth pennant-winning season (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022) and second World Series championship (2017, 2022) in the past six years. The Series win was memorable for club manager Dusty Baker, as this marked his first World Series Championship as a Manager after several other tries with other teams.
Rookie shortstop Jeremy Pena was honored as the 2022 World Series Most Valuable Player. This tops Jeremy’s fantastic season with honors, including winning the American League Championship Series (ALCS) MVP and Gold Glove awards.
Congratulations to the 2022 World Series Champions Houston Astros. Job Finished.
